Our Mission
Dear Friends,
We are truly thankful and humbled by the many deeply heartfelt expressions of appreciation by our
customers and friends, both old and new. The smiles we wear are only reflections of the ones we so love
to see again and again, and work so hard to inspire. It is good to feed you again.
- Our mission is, and has always been, to provide our customers with a variety of delicious food in a
friendly atmosphere at a reasonable price.
- We encourage and support a happy, healthy community of diverse ethnicity and culture. After all, we
are part of a national, city, and even a neighborhood melting pot of immigrants of various
generations. We, ourselves include native-born and naturalized immigrant US Citizens.
- We strive to be a positive component of our vibrant and ever evolving community and neighborhood.
- We welcome compliments, suggestions and constructive criticism.
As hard as it may be to believe, we recognize that not everyone loves us. In that interest we would
like to address several of the comments and criticisms. We believe that some do not even merit our
comment.
- The Chicken Kabob REALLY IS CHICKEN (other ingredients are also as stated). We use dark meat
because we believe it is more moist and flavorful than white meat for kabobs.
- Our menu is comprised of items of primarily Cambodian, but also American and other influences that
we feel our customers will enjoy. We believe we have both literally and figuratively "filled a niche"
with our unique offerings over these many years.
- One of our top priorities is providing good, delicious food. Some items take more time to prepare,
and we continue to adjust our menu and procedures to make them available as quickly as possible.
Many orders at the same time, take time to prepare. We are ultimately a small family business, but
we believe our customers are worth the effort, and our food is worth the wait.
- We serve old, young, rich, poor, individuals, families and groups of friends. Some come just for our
food. Some come as part of a day or evening out, or even after a hard day's work.
- We advocate and facilitate responsible consumers, period. We do not, and have NEVER tolerated
anyone that cannot conduct themselves in an appropriate manner.
- We do not, and have NEVER served alcohol. We allow our customers to bring their own alcoholic
beverages, but only in moderation as a part of their meals. Some customers that may have had some,
or even a little too much before coming to our establishment are still welcome if they can conduct
themselves within reason. We would rather they take advantage of a safe environment, some time
and nourishment before going home rather than some of the alternatives.
- Part of the saga of the previous occupants of our inside location is a matter of public record.
- We have ALWAYS made significant efforts to take care of what we are responsible for, and then
some. Aside from the sidewalk receptacles provided by the city, we have ALWAYS had our own,
and had a fairly prominent and explicit sign asking our customers to use them. We recycle as much
material as we can including glass, plastic and cardboard. Especially when we operated outdoors, we
have gone so far as to pick up items like boxes, paper products, bottles and other containers for some
distance from our location that were clearly not from us, just to be part of a solution. We encourage
ALL our friends and neighbors to do the same.
